Dolce & Gabbana’s Caught Inbetween A Controversy Statement And Their Response To The Issue.

A post shared by stefanogabbana (@stefanogabbana) on

So some days back, a pair of embellished Dolce & Gabbana women’s sneakers which was shared by Stefano Gabbana, co-founder of the Italian fashion house was raising serious dust 'cos of the write up on the sneakers. The shoes are covered in spikes, studs and scribbles, one of which reads “I’m thin & gorgeous.” But some of the comments from users were not friendly at all..see below

kiitten_kiss@saywhattttttttttttttttttttttt your comment makes zero sense. Yes thin is gorgeous to some people, like fat is beautiful to some people....

golgol1949People, learn to respect others. There's nothing offending to upset anyone. There's more to this than meets the eyes! Relax and enjoy a work of art

alexxandrasmxoSo if he would have wrote " fat and gorgeous " it would have been an inspiring movement right ? πŸ˜‚typical hypocritical fat feminist

kittenlittle7734@hoebi.wankenobi Hmmm maybe the bullying comes from malcontents who come to someone's page to lecture on how "Thin and gorgeous" is so offensive. Perhaps staying off the page would prevent the snowflakes from felling bullied. Look at you, calling someone "old". Isn't that being ageist and attempting to insult someone on their own page? Talk about a bully!

simonavstoyanova@alexxandrasmxo nailed it πŸ˜„

tatzukApparently thin people can't be proud of their bodies anymore. Only fat is accepted now.

eevakv@stefanogabbana Being thin doesn't automatically exclude you havin a cholesterol. You should at least know that much when you start calling people names.

  4. Oh, this is really a difficult message ... but I think D&G achieved what they might intended: they got interest ...

    1. Yes they were able to draw the attention they needed but then again in as much as there is freedom of speech, we should always try to filter the words we want to use to pass across a message

  5. Dolce and Gabbana got even more attention with this one. A part of me wonders if they're enjoying this drama.

    1. I think they are enjoying the controvesy so as to draw the attention of the public to them.. Stefano Gabbana is one that does not hesitate to speak out his mind even if it appears crude
