If You Are a Woman This Inspirational Post From Tamara Mellon Will Make Your Day.

Tamara Mellon who on her Instagram page was advocating for equal pay for both men and women, shared this personal experience of her's and i know it will definitely make someone's day like it did mine..

"During my time as co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Jimmy Choo, I led the company through three acquisitions, and at each, I was refused my requests for pay that was comparable to my male counterparts in similar roles. At each negotiation, I was given an excuse I found unacceptable, including once being told that I was rich for a woman. But that was then, and this is now. That experience fueled the launch of Tamara Mellon, and gave me the courage to start over and build a company that empowers women."

I believe in gender equality in some areas and one of such is the work place cause truth be told a man and a woman doing the same job in the same department or work place place, and the woman been paid lesser than her male counterpart when their salaries should be the same is a big no no for me cos no employer has the right to determine how rich a woman should get.

There is nothing as sweet as holding down your own. when a woman has her own money and make enough for herself, there will be a decrease in bad social vices e.g men treating you like trash all because you have to ask them for money.

Women should never be treated less than their male counterpart in business places because what a man can do, a woman can do even better so yes i advocate for equal pay for both gender.

This is a very empowering post. I think it's totally abhorrent that in 2018 women are still having to ask for equal treatment in the workplace!

The image itself inspired me to read the blog. It is such an 'Oh-so-true' post as gone are the days when men can claim any woman to be theirs on the basis of their richness, maybe such women still exist who judge men on the basis of money but time has changed and self-reliant women are showing-up with their raised standards. I have found women who can afford their own designer diamond jewellery too.
